Benevolent Fund - Injured ? –
Hampshire
FA’s Benevolent
Fund Can Help. There comes a time in everyone’s
life when a little extra cash would be most welcome and the Benevolent Fund
is a source of help at these difficult times. Thanks to the generosity of
our members, grants are available to Players, Coaches, Club Officials and
Referees who find themselves in urgent need following injury. All donations
are gratefully received whatever the amount and please forward any donations
to the Finance Director at the County Office. Please follow the procedure
below to make an application to the Benevolent Fund:
1. The Club Secretary, having ascertained the Player/Official is, or may be
suffering financial hardship through the injury, should apply to the Association
or the Area Benevolent Officer for an application form.
2. The Application Form must be completed by the Player/Official and endorsed
by the Secretary of the Club. All information asked for must be given, and
care must be exercised in the matter of player’s income when in employment,
and amounts received while incapacitated, from all sources. A doctor’s
certificate clearly stating the nature of the injury and probable period of
incapacitation must accompany each application. The Trustees of the Fund reserve
the right to make any necessary enquiry concerning an application. Completed
application forms should be returned to the County Office or the Area Benevolent
Officer (below).
3. Every application is promptly considered by the Trustees, in strict confidence,
and grants are made where necessary, to assist applicants during periods of
incapacitation.
