The quorum for the transaction of business shall be as provided in the Association and all decisions of the Council or Cup Competitions Committee shall be binding, subject to the right of appeal to the Board of Appeal in accordance with Association Rule 11.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"> <![if !supportLists]><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> <span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">3<span style="font:7.0pt &quot;Times New Roman&quot;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span></b><![endif]><span style="font-size:11.0pt">a)<span style="mso-tab-count:1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>In these Rules the word  <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">Council</b> shall be construed as meaning  <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">the Council or the Cup</b> </span><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Competition Committee of the Southampton Divisional Football Association,</span></b><span style="font-size:11.0pt"> the words  <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">defined <span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp;</span>area</b> shall mean <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">the Southampton Divisional Football Area defined area as in Rule 2</b> <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">and a  border club shall be defined as one that its Headquarters or ground is situated within ten miles of the Southampton Divisional Football Association designated area</b></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"> <![if !supportLists]><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> <span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">4<span style="font:7.0pt &quot;Times New Roman&quot;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span></b><![endif]><span style="font-size:11.0pt">f any member of the Council is an Official, Member or Shareholder of a Club concerning which there is a protest, dispute or question, such member shall not be eligible to vote when such protest, dispute, or question is being resolved.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"> <![if !supportLists]><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> <span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">5<span style="font:7.0pt &quot;Times New Roman&quot;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span></b><![endif]><span style="font-size:11.0pt">To the winners of the Competition there shall be presented a Cup/Trophy which shall be held by that Club for the current Season and shall not become the property of any Club. The Association Officers for the time being shall be regarded as Legal Holders of the Cups/Trophies</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"> <![if !supportLists]><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> <span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">6<span style="font:7.0pt &quot;Times New Roman&quot;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span></b><![endif]><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The Association shall insure the Cups and Trophies as appropriate and arrange safe custody of same as determined by Council.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>When presented to the winning Club of the Competition that Club shall be wholly responsible for the Cup/Trophy, and shall sign a written document to this effect to be handed to the Association Secretary on receipt of the Cup/Trophy.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp;&nbsp; </span> <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">The Club shall have the Cup or Trophy inscribed with the name of the winning Club and the season of winning</b>.</span>If the Cup or Trophy is returned, and in the opinion of this Association is not in the same condition as it was presented, <u> the Club shall be notified immediately and the Club shall be fined and charged for its refurbishment and/or repair in total</u>. The Cup/Trophy shall be returned to the Hon. Secretary of the Association <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"><u>by the 1<sup>st</sup> of February each year</u></b>.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp;&nbsp; </span><u>Failure to return the Cup/Trophy in like good order and condition by the due date will result in the Club <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">being fined £25.00 plus £5.00 per day</b> thereafter.</u><span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>In the event a Club <u>ceases to exist</u> after winning the Competition, the Cup/Trophy shall be returned <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> immediately to the Association Hon. Secretary</b></p> <p class="MsoNormal"> <![if !supportLists]><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> <span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">7<span style="font:7.0pt &quot;Times New Roman&quot;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span></b><![endif]><span style="font-size:11.0pt">In addition to the Cup/Trophy, 16 medals or other suitable awards shall be presented to the winning Club and, funds permitting, also to the losing finalists.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>When a player taking part in a final tie of a Competition is ordered to leave the field of play for misconduct, the award to which he may be entitled shall be withheld at the discretion of the Council. A Club to whom awards are presented by the Association shall be empowered to give, <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">at its own expense</b>, not more than four extra awards to players who have assisted it in the competition concerned. Such awards can only be made with the consent of the Council/Cup Committee, and will only be authorised for players who have taken part in a reasonable number of ties</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"> <![if !supportLists]><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> <span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">8<span style="font:7.0pt &quot;Times New Roman&quot;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span><![endif]><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Applications together with the appropriate fee and entry form to enter the Cup Competition where appropriate must be received by July 1<sup>st</sup> in each year.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; In the event of a Club/team being removed from a Competition after winning the Final Tie, the Council may award the Cup/Trophy and player awards to the beaten finalists.
